The Communicating Diversity Conference is an annual conference for students interested is issues of diversity. The conference is hosted by the Climate and Inclusion Committee of the Department of Communication at Texas A&M University with generous support for the 2017 conference from the Women’s and Gender Studies Program and the Glasscock Center for Humanities Research.
In the past six years, we have grown the conference from 18 speakers in 2012 (all Texas A&M students) to 35 speakers in 2014 (from six different universities across Texas). In 2015 (April) we had 39 participants from 9 universities across Texas and in 2016, abstracts came in from universities across the nation and we had 44 participants.
We are now accepting papers for the 2017 conference until February 17, 2017. See our call for submissions for more information. If you have any questions, email us. Follow us on facebook or twitter, for updates later in the year.
Update 2/8/2107: We do have travel awards available for the 2017 conference! More information here.
